Children water paint whitening is caused by what? How can this be prevented?
In daily life, we often find that when using children's water-based paint, the paint film is milky white in the drying process or after drying, or wood grain, substrate, background color is not clear. This is the phenomenon that water paint whitens, greatly affected the value of furniture! Reasons for children's waterborne paint whitening:
1. The air humidity is large, and the paint film has water. Water and water-based resins reflect and absorb light differently, resulting in a wet film that looks opalescent and has poor transparency. When the film is completely dry, the water evaporates, leaving only the water-based paint. The water-based paint film reflects and absorbs the same light and becomes transparent.
2. In the process of construction, the coating film is too thick, resulting in the water contained in the bottom paint film is not completely removed.
3. The summer temperature is high, and the air humidity in some areas is high. The drying time of paint surface quickens with the increase of temperature, but the drying time is slow. In construction process, painter may ignore hard working time, but after paint layer surface is dry, besmear again immediately paint, bring about layer of bottom paint to do not have complete hard, the phenomenon of paint layer hair white.
4. Poor water resistance of children's waterborne paint, resulting in poor stability of coating and plating solution, and poor water resistance of coating film. The medium of children's waterborne paint is generally slightly alkaline (pH 7.5 ~ pH 8.5), the ester bond in the resin is easy to hydrolyze, will degrade the molecular chain, affect the stability of coating and plating solution, as well as the performance of the coating film.
5. The thinner evaporates too fast, which will also lead to whitening of the wood paint surface.
Waterborne paint for children:
1. For the water content of the plate, the plate is required to be dry before construction, and the water content of the plate should be controlled below 12%;
2. Wood paint with good transparency should be used in the construction of dark boards to avoid the white problem of dark boards such as black walnut;
3. Water-based furniture in a humid environment for a long time, such as toilets, etc. Regular ventilation and drainage wet, there is water to wipe clean, avoid furniture long time immersion in water.
4. The bottom coating should be dried with water, especially when using water mill.
5. Do not add water to stir in the paint container, because this will affect the proportion of wood paint, thus affecting the final paint effect;
6. Do not apply thick wood paint at a time, should be coated layer by layer, wait for the bottom dry after the second construction;
7. Do not construct when humidity is high. If circumstances don't allow it, you face the situation. You can reduce damage by adding a moderate amount of slow-drying water.
8. Film formation of water-based coating depends on physical cross-linking film formation, and there is no chemical reaction. Accordingly, the furniture that just brushed water paint had better have 3~5 days maintenance period, in order to maintain the mobility of indoor air and the moderate temperature and humidity, make the paint film of water paint achieves good hardness, avoid to scratch and collision during this period.
