The main components of waterborne fireproof paint are hydrophilic emulsion base material, expansion system and inorganic filler. Because it is ultra-thin coating, its coating thickness is generally less than 3 mm, after exposure to fire, its thickness can expand to dozens of times the original thickness, forming a dense honeycomb or spongy carbon layer, so as to effectively cut off the fire source, reduce the surface temperature of the steel structure, prolong the fire resistance time of the steel structure.

If the temperature is below 10(50) or the relative humidity is above 80%, the drying of the coating will be delayed and the recoating interval will be extended. The surface temperature must be at least 3 degrees Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit) above the dew point.

Construction should not be carried out when conditions deteriorate, such as temperature drops or water vapour may condense. Airless spraying is a method to obtain coating thickness by constructing the coating.

The required coating thickness is unlikely to be achieved by any other means than airless spraying. Be sure not to overpaint inside corners and other areas. The appearance of waterborne fireproof paint depends on the construction method. In the visible area, spray construction is used.
Six, pre-construction treatment
Surfaces with high finishing requirements may require some additional treatment before finishing. Refer to construction instructions for more information. Sealing coatings cannot be used in ISO 12944 C1 environments.
7. Supporting usage
When used in combination with an anticorrosive primer and a suitable topcoat, waterborne fire-resistant paint can be used for internal environments and is rated ISO 12944C3. Waterborne fireproof paint (whether sealed or not) should be protected from standing and running water. Do not use in frequently soaked areas.
